Production Changes and Casting

In a bold move, MAPPA Studios has appointed Tatsuya Yoshihara, renowned for his work on “Black Clover” as the new director, replacing Ryu Nakayama. The production team boasts:

  • Hiroshi Seko as scriptwriter and supervisor
  • Souta Yamazaki and Kazutaka Sugiyama leading character design and animation direction
  • Kensuke Ushio returning as music composer

“Chainsaw Man,” originally a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The anime adaptation, which aired in Fall 2022, follows Denji, a devil hunter who merges with his chainsaw devil dog, Pochita, gaining extraordinary powers. The Reze Arc is a pivotal storyline from the manga.
