The anime of chainsaw man produced by animation studio MAPPA is causing a lot of discussion among fans of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s work, and after a second installment that confirms the overall quality of execution, the manga’s publisher has revealed some important information about the manga’s author’s involvement in the production.

Bringing such a violent and sizzling series to the screen was certainly a challenge for the animation team and for the audience Director Ryu Nakayama, especially after deciding not to edit or censor anything from the original material. An adjustment process that certainly required care and attention, and one that also severely affected Fujimoto himself.

As reported in the @WSJ_manga post at the bottom of the page, editor Shihei Lin has stated so Fujimoto was involved in many phases of anime production, from the planning to the musical composition to the script and storyboards. A confirmation that has already encouraged many fans and that only increases the overall value of the series and fidelity to the original vision of the mangaka itself. Tell us what you think about it in the comments section.

Finally, we leave you with a crossover between Chainsaw Man and Spy x Family and a female cosplay of Chainsaw Devil.
