The editorial seal Dengeki Bunko from Kadokawa announced that light novels will be written by Takuma sakai and illustrated by Asagi Toosaka, Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro (Heating the Pork Liver: The Story of a Man Who Was Turned into a Pig), will have an anime adaptation. The statement did not reveal any production details or a planned release date.
Asagi Toosaka started publishing the light novels through the publisher’s label Dengeki Bunko from the publisher Kadokawa in March 2020. The publisher published the fourth volume on May 8th, followed by the fifth on October 8th in Japan. Despite its modest popularity, this literary series still does not have an anime adaptation.
Summary of Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro
An unattractive otaku wakes up in a pig’s body after passing out while eating raw pig liver. The pig is in the company of Jess, an innocent girl who can read people’s minds, and she accepts him despite her perverted thoughts … even though she plans to eat him.
