The new arc of filler episodes in Boruto: Naruto the next generations it started with the return of the selection exam for the chunin, an event that might bring back memories of the original series, and the Pierrot studio writers seem to want precisely to play with the nostalgic factor of bringing a historical place back to the screen.
As Boruto ponders the events of the battle against Isshiki and the ease with which Momoshiki took control of his body,I arrive at the 44 gates that border the forest of death it will somehow force him to focus on the exam. Many of you will remember that due to Momoshiki’s sudden attack on the Leaf Village, the previous trial was postponed and this time the Hokage himself decided to expose the young ninja of Konoha to the dangers of the forest.
In the next few episodes we will therefore see the development of the test that Naruto’s team had to face 7 years earlier in order to survive the current fauna. Probably along the lines of the original series, Boruto and his companions must also try to get a throw back from the opposing teams and then try to get to the Tower in the forest, everyone to pass the test.
What do you think of this unexpected return? As always, let us know in the comments section. Finally, we’ll leave you to compare the manga and anime by White Karma.
The Forest of Death was such an iconic place during Naruto Part 1: Chunin Trials, I’m glad it’s being used againπ. #Boruto pic.twitter.com/2OReWAVD0v
