After several ups and downs in the final episodes of Boruto: Naruto the next generations Kawaki was taken into custody by the Seventh Hokage and welcomed to Konoha, albeit with suspicion by some. However, the boy still seems unwilling to give up his previous life, which is made up of torture, battles and experimentation.

For its entire existence, Kawaki had to fight against everything and everyone: first with his father, a drunkard, who sold him for a handful of money, and then with Jigen, who took him into custody just to make him his vessel.

However, Kawaki’s life is about to change. After a reunion between the Five Kage, the boy was entrusted to the Leaf Village and taken into custody by Narutowho sees in him his terrible youth, which consists of loneliness and suspicious looks. Just like the Third Hokage, Iruka, Kakashi, and Jiraya with him, the Seventh Hokage is eager to become Kawaki like a father figure and eradicate the troubled past that continues to haunt him.

In Boruto episode 195, which seems to confirm a fan theory, Kawaki and Naruto go to the Yamanaka flower shop to buy a vase the boy accidentally broke. However, as soon as I get to Ino’s shop, I have Ghosts of the past suddenly they reappear in Kawaki’s fragile psyche. Even though Jigen is a safe distance away, he’s still there to chase him.

However, Kawaki is not alone this time. Next to him is Naruto, who as if he were his father hugs him and calms him down. The Seventh Hokage managed to do what his “godparents” did to him. The animated series from Boruto is at its peak, the adaptation to the manga is just perfect.
