A new anime era begins on April 14, 2023 Pokemon with the adventure of Liko and Roy, the first without the legendary Ash Ketchum, who stars alongside his inseparable Pikachu after 25 years. To remember and salute him, singer Jason Paige, voice of the anime’s first theme song, has released a new single.

It was the 1998 when Jason Paige sang the anime’s first theme song, tells of the friendship and bond Ash, Misty and Brock shared with their Pokémon, and now, 25 years later, the singer is back with a totally original piece to say a goodbye to Ash forever. Following the closure of the Pokémon: Aim to Be a Pokémon Master series, which consists of 11 episodes that have offered viewers a return to the past with familiar faces and a sense of adventure much closer to the origins, Paige therefore wanted to compose her own tribute to the coach.

Justified “last goodbye‘ the single was shared by Paige himself on his YouTube channel, as you can see from the video reported above in the news. While he himself appears in an extravagant Ash shirt on the left, some of the most touching and moving sequences of the first seasons of the anime follow one another on the right. Regarding the video and the song, Paige said, “were created to honor this incredibly important moment in Pokémon history. And for pay tribute to all the fans who have followed Ash and Pikachu and The Voice of a Generation“.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the video and this special farewell theme for Ash in the comments. Finally here are the new images of the first episode of Pokémon Horizons and the new team of antagonists that will hinder Liko and Roy in their journey.
