The opening scene of Kishimoto’s new opera presents us with a Ninja world on the brink of devastation, with the two main protagonists ready to end it once and for all. That flash forward seems to be getting closer now. In Boruto Chapter 66, Kawaki is scary, does he transform into the enemy seen at the beginning of the series?
After recent events, in some chapters the author might decide to time warp, taking the readers straight to the chapter introductory part of the work. The final clash between Boruto and Kawaki, the end of the shinobi era seems nigh.
The recent events of the manga prompt the hypothesis of the time jump. This character left us in Boruto 66, even if he’s probably just waiting for the moment of rebirth. In fact, Boruto’s death seems to be just a staging, a plan Get rid of Karma and Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
However, this led to a dark curve in kawaki. With Naruto’s life in serious danger, the boy lost control and released the karma that Amado had implanted back into his body. To protect his beloved Hokage, he even killed what he thought was a brother.
In the Flash Forward, it is revealed that Naruto is no longer there. However, it is not specified whether he is dead or not. It could have been the seventh imprisoned in another dimension persuaded by Kawaki, as Isshiki used to do, to protect him from the evils of the ninja world. As the villain, he must face Boruto, who is now free from the Otsutsuki’s evil influence and determined save his father and what is left of leaf village.
Are we really getting close to this moment? And will the opera end at that point, or will there be a new beginning like in Shippuden?
