Date A Live is an anime that has achieved some success in recent years, so much so that it has led to the production of a fourth season curated by the studio Geek Toys. Although Date A Live IV was set to start in October 2021, the series has been pushed back to the new year without revealing the release date.
Date A Live is based on the light novel of the same name Koshi Tachibana and Tsunako, which ended in 2020 after 22 volumes and 9 years of publication. The story stars Shido Itsuka, a young high school student like many others. One day, Shido meets a mysterious girl who has appeared in the middle of a crater caused by an earthquake in space. His sister reveals to him that the young woman is in fact a ghost, which will lead Shido to join him ratatoskr, an association that aims to eliminate these creatures.
