Since debuting in Boruto: Naruto the next generationsKawaki demonstrated his tremendous fighting potential by defeating the organization’s outsider, Kara Garo, in an incredible battle and wreaking havoc on the streets of Ryutan. But where does its power come from?

The Boruto animated series makes its way through a new narrative arc that slowly gets the viewer to immerse themselves Kawaki’s past and why he is so suspicious and hostile towards others. In fact, the boy still cannot shake off the ghosts that torment him, despite the good graces of Naruto, who took him to the Uzumaki house.

Episode 194 of the anime further illustrates Kawaki’s fragile psyche, but above all that terrifying way with which he received karma, the same seal that Momoshiki Otsutsuki used to mark Boruto.

During a conversation with the son of the seventh Hokage, Kawaki is stunned to learn that his karma is not the result of Machinations of the Kara organization and in a moment of opening, he reveals how he got it.

Looking back at his past, we see that Kawaki received karma as a result of brutal experiments by jigen and Amado. While immersed in a laboratory tank, Kawaki watches as Kara’s leader tries to inject his strength into other test subjects. After a failed attempt that resulted in the subject’s death, Kawaki, for some strange reason, manages to resist and contain his immense power.

That’s Kawaki have karma and has become the ship of the Kara organization. Apparently Boruto and Kawaki hate each other, but this sad memory reinforces their “resonance”. Here’s a preview for Boruto 195.
