Episode 204 of Boruto: Naruto the next generations will stay in the annals. In fact, the episode spawned a great battle, a riot of trains and counter-trains that ended with a surprising result. We witness the greatest fight of the Seventh Hokage and his shadow behind the scenes of an animator.
Studio Pierrot, after a number of episodes that are a bit muted compared to the manga, really topped it off with episode 204 of Boruto. The animation studio actually has one of the the most epic fights in anime, a battle from which any admired battle should be exemplified.
After being taken to another dimension by Jigen, Sasuke joined Naruto, who was willing to defend the village chief of Konoha by risking his own life. To stop the unstoppable leader of the Kara organization, the duo initiated a series of jutsu that would blow anyone away in an instant. Everyone except Jigen, who was first referring one Clay lessons with Hokage and Uchiha.
Animator Henry Thurlow shared a great behind-the-scenes look at the battle on Twitter. The video below shows the first drawings of the battle, before corrections and cleaning done for the final version.
