As you can guess from the titles of the next episodes of Boruto: Naruto the Next Generations, the Kawaki Ninja Academy bow it will be closed at the end of October. Will the anime return to adapt the events of the manga series or is a new original saga in the works? Here is the official response from the Studio Pierrot screenwriter.
Since over a year Boruto’s anime has stopped adapting the events of the manga series of the same name written by Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto to embark on a new series of adventures. Over the course of more than 50 episodes since the end of the fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki, the original anime story arcs of the second Chunin Exam, the Battle of the Misty Village, and finally Kawaki in the Ninja Academy have been created in succession. But now that this saga is about to have its epilogue, how will the anime continue? Before you find out, here’s what happened in Boruto Episode 271.
To give us a hint about the future of Boruto’s anime is Honda Masaya, screenwriter of Studio Pierrot. On his Twitter, the author announced that a new story will be released in November, for which he is responsible for the scripts. It will be on again Original anime story arc, and therefore the date with the adaptation of the manga is postponed again. Although this is an original anime, Masaya invited everyone to pay attention to this story arc as it will be quite interesting.
