Episode 288 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation started the saga of Code's attack on the village of Leaf. The new villain, also bolstered by the alliance with Eida and Daemon, has managed to get dangerously close to Konoha, causing a devastating development in the plot ahead of the long hiatus that will hamper production.

The oppressive tension felt Kawasaki, led him to leave the Uzumaki family home to directly meet Code, who arrived inside the village walls. The only one who managed to track down Kawaki's chakra was Boruto, thanks to the powers emanating from Karma, who immediately went to defend his friend.

Ready to do anything to protect him, Boruto has decided to get serious using the abilities associated with Karma, and with a twist: Momoshiki Otsutsuki has returned to the Manifestobut this time he seems to have finally managed to take control of the protagonist's body.

This is a totally unexpected twist, especially given Boruto's assumption of the drugs procured from Amado, the scientist, former internal member of the Kara, who now seems to side with Konoha only to annihilate Otsutsuki's influence. This worrying manifestation of Momoshiki was caused by the incredible pressure Code applied during the confrontation, as you can see in the clip at the bottom of the page.
