The second original story arc of the anime Boruto: Naruto the next generations starts with the best of conditions. Kawaki has a chance to officially become a Leaf Village ninja as long as he manages to complete a mission. In this regard, he is entrusted to the Ino-Shika-Cho team, which, however, loses a bit.

To become a genin, Naruto and Shikamaru dictate that Kawaki manages to complete a mission of rank D together with another team than team 7 too easy for him, the seventh Hokage finally gives him one Class C task.

On his first official mission outside the walls of Konoha, Kawaki is forced to be 17. Ino-Shika-Chowhich is missing a bit. Inojin Yamanaka has been called back to work with the sensory team, and to do this he has to temporarily leave his teammates from Team 10, who instead have to accompany a key figure to the land of calm seas.

At the gates of the Leaf Village, however, the mission it starts very badly: Kawaki intends to attack whoever he is supposed to protect at the cost of his life. Will this current formation manage to complete the mission, or will it be another failure for Kawaki?
