In this first part ofAdaptation of Bleach's Millennium War Studio Pierrot's production allowed viewers to learn more details about Gotei 13's past and about the original commanders, few hints of which were given in the manga series by Tite Kubo.

The debut of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War explored the past of the Gotei 13 and provided valuable information about the names of the First Generation Commanders and their violent events.

In Episode 7 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, we were able to explore Gotei 13's past in more detail than in his last moments of life Commander General Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto commemorates the battle against the Quincy, which took place a thousand years before the current events.

If in the manga it is Yhwach that mentions the old Gotei 13 and mentions him as a Team of murderers and violent criminals Wearing uniforms, in the anime we can see the old, now-vanished captains in action. Not only that, but thanks to the official illustrations from Bleach, we're admiring the character designs of the original Gotei 13.

In the war that took place a thousand years earlier, a young Yamamoto led the Gotei 13 al merciless massacre of the Quincy. We see a ruthless Chojiro Sasakibe stabbing Yhwach himself without dignity from behind.

Through this story we discover why the Quincy's are out for revenge and the reason for so much contempt for Soul Society. However, the passage of time has changed the Gotei 13, which has become softer with the long period of peace. That current captains are actually not as fierce as their ancestorsand perhaps for this reason they suffered a defeat at the hands of Yhwachs Wandenreich.
