The 2022 fall anime season is finally back bleaching on the small screen. The Thousand Years War, the final story arc of Tite Kubo’s Shonen, has exploded into anime as well. The Soul Society invasion began in episode 370 of the adaptation.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War 1×04 begins with a brutal situational update. The Sternritter invasion only started 7 minutes ago, but the death toll is already over a thousand. The scale of the attack is devastating, and the Gotei 13 is about to break up in the episode entitled “Kill the Shadow”.
Soul Society’s bravest warriors prove they can hold their own against the Star Knights, but they prove to be the toughest threat they’ve faced yet. Quincys appear to be immune to receiving hits and able to do so steal the Soul Reaper’s Bankai. When the captains notice this, it is already too late for them.
L’Soul Society’s last hope lies in Kurosaki Ichigo, which is then in the Hueco Mundo. Backup Shinigami engages in a brutal confrontation with the Quincy Quilge Opie. The antagonist transformed into Vollstanding and unsuccessfully attempted to steal Ichigo’s bankai. The boy currently seems to be the only one who can resist the Bankai theft.
The fight is interrupted by Urahara, who surprisingly manages to kill Opie by hitting him. Ichigo has to now Run back to Soul Society and protect his friends.
