There are moments that, once achieved, help make a manga famous. Sometimes it takes very little to take off, like a saga that needs the right look, and for bleaching this saga was the Soul Society in its second part. In fact, the official division provides for this long narrative arc in two halves.

Rukia’s execution date is changed while Uryu and Orihime meet Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi, with whom a fight erupts, which the protagonists won.
The Shinigami instead find themselves in chaos, with multiple clashes between the different divisions. There’s Toshiro Hitsugaya blaming Gin Ichimaru for killing Aizen during Zaraki saves Ichigo’s allies but is later stopped by Komamura and Tosen, the latter being defeated despite the Bankai’s efforts. Renji tries to save Rukia but is stopped by Byakuya. The execution begins, but everything is stopped by Ichigo’s return. Facing the protagonist is Byakuya and the two begin a violent confrontation, both using the Bankai. At the worst moment, Ichigo’s transformation takes place and he becomes possessed by his inner hollow, leaving the Captain in crisis.
Kyoraku and Ukitake exit the execution area while Commander Yamamoto cremates everything and confronts his two students. Yoruichi also enters the fight by confronting his former student, Soi Fon. But everything takes a disturbing turn when Hitsugaya discovers the murder of the 46 and Aizen reveals himself. The former captain gathers his two allies, Tosen and Ichimaru, and extracts the Hogyoku from Rukia’s body. confirms that he is Bleach’s real enemy.
