After an unexpected postponement of the Darkhold Event miniseries by about three months, Marvel Comics has returned to provide readers with new details about one of the characters who will be involved in reading the powerful and dangerous Book of the Damned. This is Eric Brooks, known as blade the vampire hunter.
Doctor Doom’s decision awaken the ancient god Chthon jeopardized the whole of reality and therefore required the intervention of one of the most powerful and at the same time most dangerous characters in the Marvel universe, Scarlet Witch. Written by Steve Orlando and drawn by Cian Tormey, the story will continue to unfold several one-shot stories, one of which will have Diurno as protagonist, who has received a unique design update.
Instead of the usual dark leather suit, Blade now looks a lot more like the creatures he hunted as you can see on Character design by Tormey Same in the pictures at the bottom of the page. Overall, Blade has taken on a more animalistic shape, with the canines he inherited from his vampire father longer and sharper than ever, and much more muscular, paw-like legs. In addition, his usual dark leather suit has been completely replaced by a gray-scarlet overalls.
In conclusion, let’s remember this Darkhold Alpha # 1 will be released in September, and we leave you to the sensational theft of the Infinity Stones that could prove critical to the future of the Marvel Comics universe.
