The farewell to Kentaro Miura shook the manga world. The well-known author of Berserk he died suddenly in May like a bolt from the blue in a statement by the publisher that fans found difficult to accept. A bitter button to swallow and that could mean the end of his most legendary manga.
Kentaro Miura and Studio GAGA brought the manga towards the end, among other things, whereby Berserk 364 would have been the cross between the old and the new saga. The ending with Griffith caught attention and raised many questions that will likely never be answered.
After being published in chapters on Young Animal, it’s down to the volumes too: Berserk volume 41 will hit Japanese comics over the next month, likely the last in the series unless unexpected decisions are made by Hakusensha and Studio GAGA. For now, the publisher has shown the preview of Berserk 41, with Gatsu, Caska and a full moon illuminating them.
For Duranki, however, fate is already written. The newest creature from Kentaro Miura is to be considered complete and published in a single volume, with the title illustration identical to the color page of the first chapter in the series. Both images are available below, up to a high resolution version.
