Tomohito Oda’s original manga series has generated a huge following in the past few weeks, and the fervor has grown further with the launch of the anime adaptation of Komi Can’t Communicate on Netflix. Also the author of My Hero Academia joins the fans.
The anime is currently being played as part of the Anime programming in fall 2021, and a whole new wave of fans has discovered the series and loves the main character’s journey. Shoko Komito be able to make friends with 100 different people. Among these new fans we can also find some famous mangaka.
The original series creator of My Hero Academia had previously spoken to fans of Weekly Shonen Jump about how much he liked the anime Komi Can’t Communicate, and it seems he still likes the series a lot as he decided to celebrate Do it with a new sketch.
She shows her take on the heroine who gives the series its title, Shoko Komi, Horikoshi shared a nice new sketch with fans on Twitter which you can see below.
Komi Can’t Communicate is now being broadcast weekly new episodes on Netflix. International release started a few weeks after it was first released in Japan, so we’re a couple of episodes behind.

It was a popular series like this that tested the water for this new type of programming, and so far it apparently has been a hit with the fans. Directed by Kazuki Kawagoe for OLM, the main cast of Komi Can’t Communicate includes personalities such as Aoi Koga as Shoko Komi, Gakuto Kajiwara as Hitohito Tadano and Rie Murakawa as Najimi Osana.
Netflix officially describes the series as follows: “In a high school full of unique characters, Tadano helps his shy and unsociable classmate. Komi to achieve her goal of befriending 100 people. “
