It seems DC Comics took more inspiration than the critically acclaimed Dragon Ball manga to produce Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #4, due out next month in the US. Just like in Akira Toriyama’s work, Batman and Superman will soon merge into one mighty warrior.
“Preview of a new character from Batman Superman Worlds Finest #4. I had a lot of fun drawing this guy‘ writes artist Dan Mora in support An image posted to Twitter shows the merger between the Man of Steel and the Hooded Crusader. World’s Finest is the title that stars both DC Comics superheroes and is a regular series unlike the medieval miniseries Dark Knight of Steel.
The merger, which you can admire below in the tweet, is a perfect mix between the two main heroes of the DC Universe: wears a mask similar to Batman’s but red, covering his entire face; the costume features the colors of both characters (red, blue and black); and it shows on the chest an emblem that perfectly combines the Batsegnale with the coat of arms of the El family.
Joining Mora in the making of Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #4 is screenwriter Mark Waid, writer who recently returned to DC Comics after a long stint at Marvel.
Batman/Superman: World’s Best #4 will be released next June 21st. Staying on the topic of fusions, the fusion of Goten and Trunks is shown in the new Dragon Ball Super Super Hero images.
