The Dark Nights: Death Metal event lays interesting narrative foundations for the future of the DC Comics multiverse and at the same time changes many relevant characters in the series Batman and the arrival of new enemies alongside the terrible Batman laughing only portends negative developments.
The Robin KingThis is the name of the right arm of the hybrid between the Joker and the Dark Knight. In the second part of the special volume Dark Nights: Death Metal - Legends of the Dark Knights we are introduced to its origins.
As told by Alfred Pennyworth, butler of the Wayne family, we experience some of the most important moments in the life of Bruce Wayne. Alfred initially focuses on Bruce's childhood and is very concerned about the child's attitudes, who like torturing animals and doing potentially dangerous things for others.
The biggest surprise, however, comes when we move on to the description of the night that Thomas and Martha Wayne died. Bruce and his parents leave the cinema and go home. They pass Crime Alley, where they come across a criminal. Bruce kills him and quickly hits him in the carotid artery. and then take his gun and shoot his parents, still terrified of what the son was doing.
Bruce pretends to be desperate and is taken to his villa by the police. There he will discuss his estate with Alfred. In the meantime, Commissioner Gordon arrives, who, suspicious of Bruce's behavior, is killed by Bruce with an arrow. Given the intentions of the butler who panicked revealed almost everything to Gordon, Bruce follows him and kills him after putting on a costume, declaring himself Robin King.
A writer's choice that makes this version of Bruce Wayne perhaps one of the most dangerous and unpredictable. Recall that a new character made his debut in the Joker War and that the author of the Batman transposition manga, Jiro Kuwata, recently passed away.
