Dragon Ball Z It marked the franchise's change of course that would take our heroes to new and epic upgrades from that moment on. Yet even today, that sudden change in Goku during the first transformation into a Super Saiyan is indelibly engraved in the hearts of readers and viewers.

Triggering the power on was the merciless death of his friend Kuririn which exploded in front of the protagonist's eyes. The unforgivable evil deed that had seemingly killed Piccolo moments before, it filled Goku's heart with anger which gives him the ability to transcend the limits and transform into a Super Saiyan.

The new form brought not only unprecedented power, but also a sudden change in the character of our hero. The attitude towards Frieza changed completely. The Saiyan whom we came to appreciate for his good heart, resourcefulness and freedom of spirit, he suddenly became angry and wild. Goku began pushing his enemy beyond the limits, willingly provoking and taunting him, all to make him accept his inferiority in front of a Saiyan. Frieza trembled with fear for the first time, his ego slowly being shaken, until our hero decided to deal himself one last psychological hit by withdrawing from the fight.

It's undoubtedly one of the best fights in the franchise given the psychological development Goku manifests. And you on the other hand, do you agree? Let us know with a comment below.
