DC Comics has decided to pay homage to the rich and treasured world of Batman’s villains by creating a series of 64-page one-shots will highlight one of the Dark Knight’s nemesis from exit to exit. The initiative, titled “Batman – One Bad Day”, starts this year and will continue in 2023.

The title Batman – A Bad Day refers to the Joker’s famous monologue in the Batman story The Killing Joke, in which the villain reveals that the only difference between him and everyone else is simply “a bad day“,”a bad day“It’s definitely worth emphasizing Joker doesn’t appear to be on the list of villains chosen by DC for the initiativeperhaps to highlight characters who are having a harder time getting lead roles.

The following titles are currently announced for Batman – One Bad Day: The Riddlerby Tom King and Mitch Gerads; Two facesby Mariko Tamaki, Javier Fernandez and Jordie Bellaire; The Penguinby John Ridley, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Cam Smith and Arif Prianto; Mr Frostby Gerry Duggan, Matteo Scalera and Dave Stewart; cat womanby G Willow Wilson and Jamie McKelvie; curseby Joshua Williamson, Howard Porter and Tomeu Morey; clay face, by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Xermanico and Romulo Fajardo Jr.; and finally Ra’s al Ghulby Tom Taylor and Ivan Reis.

The first one shot Batman – A Bad Day: The Riddler, will be released in the United States in August next year. It should be noted that this year the Riddler will also be the protagonist of The Batman Riddler Year One spin-off comic, which will be released next October.
