Warner Bros Japan has unveiled a new trailer for the manga’s anime, written and illustrated by Kazushi Hagiwara, bastard!!! Heavy metal, dark fantasy (Bastard!!: Ankoku no Hakaishin). The video, which shows the content of the first five episodes and a soundtrack composed by Yasuharu Takanashi, confirms that the project will have twenty-four episodes.
The Announcement of the New Bastard Anime!! arrived a week ago. The press release also revealed the new cast members of the voice actors, including: Kanae Itou like Lucien Renlen, Tomokazu Sugita like Abigail, Kensho Ono like Kall-Su, Nao Touyama like Sheila Tuel Meta-Ilicana.
The series is expected to hit the platform later this year Netflix worldwide, without a specific confirmed date or if the project is synchronized internationally. Hagiwara published the original manga in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine between October 1987 and May 2010 with as many breaks as fellow Togashi with Hunter x Hunter. The work was collected in a total of twenty-seven volumes.
The work inspired a Anime adaptation in six OVA episodes Produced by AIC Studios, directed by Katsuhiro Akiyama and written by Hiroshi Yamaguchi, published in August 1992. As the data shows, the anime adaptation had not covered the entire story of the manga.
Among the cast of voice actors we also find Kishou Taniyama like Dark Schneider, Tomori KusunokI like Tia Noto Yoko Hiroki Yasumoto like gara e Youko Hikasa as Arshes Nei.
Sayaka Ono (CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon) is responsible for character design. Yasunori Ebi (Naruto) meanwhile is responsible for directing the sound Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto Shippuden, Fairy Tail) is responsible for composing the soundtrack. The band cold rain will perform the opening while the singer Tielle will end.
“The story revolves around a group of five wizards who set out to rebuild their world after an angry god destroyed it and turned into chaos. Pushed by their leader, Dark Schneider, Gara, Arshes Nei, Abigail, and Kall Su, they resolve to reclaim the kingdoms in hopes of rebuilding them into utopias. However, Dark Schneider’s often reckless behavior and bad temper will wreak havoc wherever he goes.
