A few weeks after the disaster of The Day I Became a God, the Jun Maeda anime that literally infuriated anime fans around the world, the guys at Studio PA Works decided to leave the past behind present their new original anime, due out in 2021, this time written by Yuuko Kakihara and Toshiya Shinohara.

Auatrop made of white sandThis is the title of the new animated series due out next July. It was presented with the great trailer at the top of the article and should be the only original PA Works project out this year. You can also take a look at the first key visual below.

PA Works described the plot of the anime as follows: "Kukuru Misakino, an 18-year-old student, works part-time at the Gama Gama Aquarium in Okinawa, an hour from Naha. The aquarium hides a secret that few know: Sometimes it even seems like you can see something mysterious. One day, Kukuru meets Fuuka, a girl who fled Tokyo after dreaming of becoming an idol. Fuuka asks to be allowed to work on the aquarium, and after a few days the two start investigating the secret that lies in this strange building.".

Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler, IRODUKU: The World in Colors, A Calm in the Sea) directs the anime at PA Works while Yuuko Kakihara (IRODUKU: The World in Colors, Digimon Adventure) is curating the script. As for the characters, the character design is created by Yuki Akiyama (IRODUKU: The world in colors, The eccentric family 2) e U35 (Lapis Re: LiGHTs) while Yoshiaki Dewa (A lull in the sea, flying witch) composes the music.
