When it comes to his manga and dark fantasy, It’s impossible not to mention The Attack of the Giants and Tokyo Ghoul, two brilliant works that have fascinated millions of readers. Sui Ishida, author of the story with Ken Kaneki, has always been a huge fan of his colleague Hajime Isayama’s work, and below is one of his creations dedicated to protagonist Eren Jaeger.
Made with Ishida’s iconic detailed and dark stroke, the illustration shows Eren holding the sword delivered to the reconnaissance army, with a frightened Grisha Jaeger in the reflection of the gun. The original artwork, released to mark the end of the series, garnered over 200,000 likes on Twitter, and today we’re bringing it back to you a few months after the manga finished.
Unlike Isayama, whose future has not yet been defined, Sui Ishida is working on a new series called Choujin X, which is available for free on MangaPlus and will soon be published in a Japanese weekly newspaper. If you have a passion for the mangaka style, iOur advice is to restore it asap.
And what do you think of this illustration? You like it? Tell us in the comments! In the meantime, we remind you that The Attack of the Giants anime will return in 2022 with the final part of the final season.
