A new promotional video has been released for the anime adaptation of the manga If My Wife Became an Elementary School Student by Yayu Murata. This exciting announcement confirms that the anime will premiere in Fall 2024 (October-December) and provides detailed information about the production team and voice cast.

Manga Background

The manga, written and illustrated by Yayu Murata, was published in the Weekly Manga Times magazine from July 2018 to December 2022. It is rare for a completed manga to be adapted into an anime, but this story’s unique theme and popularity have made it an exception.

Voice Cast

  • Daisuke Hirakawa as Keisuke Niijima, a devoted husband who lost his wife, Takae, ten years ago.
  • Aoi Yuuki as Takae Niijima/Marika Shiraishi, Keisuke's wife reincarnated as an elementary school student named Marika.
  • Maiko Nomura as Mai Niijima, the daughter of Keisuke and Takae.

Production Team

  • Noriyuki Abe (BLEACH, Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho) is directing the anime at Studio Signpost (formerly Pierrot Plus).

Keisuke Niijima lost his beloved wife, Takae, ten years ago. Since her passing, he has felt lifeless and appears gloomy to those around him. Keisuke lives with his daughter, Mai, but their relationship is distant and strained. One day, a young girl arrives at their home, claiming to be the reincarnation of Takae. This surprising encounter sets the stage for a heartwarming and unique story about love, loss, and family.
