The Amazing Spider-Man Beyond Era is almost over. Amazing Spider-Man #93, the final installment in this series, will be released in the United States on March 30th. On the occasion of his arrival Marvel has released a preview of the number showing the start of the final battle between Peter Parker and Ben Reilly.
We’ve known for a while that the Beyond Era would end in a fight between Peter and Ben, however the reasons for the rupture of the relationship between the two “brothers” they have only appeared in recent issues.
Beyond Corporation plagiarized Ben Reilly erase some key memories from his memory his personality in order to make him completely subject to the company. With those key memories, Uncle Ben’s teaching that “with great power comes great responsibility” is gone. tricking the clone of Peter into being a Spider-Man without his strong morals.
The preview of the issue, available in the gallery below, shows the very first moments of the clash between the two Spider-Man, with a now completely unstable Ben starting the fight. It is not clear what the future will be of Ben, in every sense the true protagonist of the Beyond Era, in view of the relaunch of Spider-Man, who from April will fully return his role as the main character to Peter.
One of the Amazing Spider-Man #93 variant covers (available below along with the other covers) suggests Ben Reilly could become a villain named Chasm, even if he did only the issue of the number will confirm this theory.
