On the official site for the upcoming anime adaptation of the children’s book written and illustrated by Narita Satoko, Rakudai Mayo (failure witch) a new promotional image has been released and it has been confirmed that it is scheduled to premiere sometime during the Spring 2023 (April-June) season in theaters in Japan. Their distribution in the West has not yet been confirmed.

Synopsis for Rakudai Majo
The book series accompanies the witch apprentice Fuuka on her adventures full of magic and love. The first volume, Rakudai Majo wa Princess (Failure, Witch is a Princess), was released in October 2006. The franchise consists of 17 novels and a book of short stories. The latest novel, Rakudai Majo to Yami no Kyuuden (Failure Witch and the Palace of Darkness), was published in October 2013.
