It’s time for a reboot at Marvel Comics. After the news about the new Amazing Spider-Man series, which will restart from number 1, a trailer announces the arrival of two new titles dedicated to Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, which will tell the adventures of Steve Rogers, and Symbol of Truth, which will star Sam Wilson.
The trailer we share below gives that away the two titles are anticipated by a prologue, Captain America #0, written by Tochi Oneybuchi, Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing and illustrated by Mattia De Iulis, will be released on April 20th, 2022. The three writers will later split between the two announced titles: Oneybuchi will write Symbol of Truth, while Kelly and Lanzing will work on Sentinel of Liberty.
“What’s interesting about Captain America #0 is that unlike many zero numbers, we won’t spend our time building the storyline for the two titles or anticipating amazing events.“Lanzing told Entertainment Weekly.”Number 1 takes care of that. Issue #0 will actually be a conversation between Steve and Sam about both being Captain America. But the conversation won’t take place in a room of sitting and sipping beer, but flying/holding on to a giant rocket that’s about to wipe out humanity, as Arnim Zola is back and has evil plans.“.
After the release in April of Captain America #0, it’s May’s turn Captain America: Symbol of Truth #1, while it will be his turn in June Captain America: Guardians of Liberty #1. In addition to the comics, the role of Captain America has also been talked about in the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Solider, and Sam Wilson will take on the role of the Guardian of Freedom in the next film dedicated to him: that’s when Captain America 4 will be released.
