Netflix’s interest in original anime productions like Yasuke or manga-based productions like Beastars has also led to a new era of live-action adaptations, most recently Cowboy Bebop. This resulted in a single “petition” being requested online. Let’s see the details together.
Based on the consideration that Cowboy Bebop is entirely made in the United States of America, with US employees, authors and producers, an industry enthusiast has come up with an extravagant and interesting proposal for Japanese animation studios.
In the tweet reported below, @landlockdpoland talked about anime adaptations of hit TV series that have made tremendous contributions to transforming the medium, such as The Sopranos, initiators of the victorious HBO model, and AMC’s Influential Breaking Bad. As unthinkable as such a production may seem, the idea has attracted the attention of thousands of fans.
Just take a look at the comments left in response to the post to understand how much Tony Soprano to see played by the late ones James Gandolfini, or Walter White in the anime format would win millions of viewers instantly.
The idea that one day a Japanese animation studio propose a range of excellence with your own style like the above, it may spring from an almost childlike desire, but in an ever-evolving industry like anime, transmedia phenomena of this kind seem possible. What do you think about it? Are there any series that you would like to see in an anime version? As always, tell us in the comments section.
Given the cowboy bebop remake, I think Japanese studios should be doing anime versions of American live action shows, starting with Breaking Bad and The Sopranos
