A Twitter account was set up to announce that the manga was by Ranpu Shirogane and illustrated by Mamimu, Hanabi-chan wa Okuregachi (Hanabi-chan is often too late), will have an anime adaptation. Universal entertainment, a manufacturing company of pachinko, created the concept “a comedy of anthropomorphic pachinko machines“.

The manga imagines if Universal Entertainment’s pachinko machines were Hanabi (fireworks), Versus, and Thunder V girls working in a pachinko room. Story creator Shirogane and artist Mamimu published the manga on Hero’s manga site Comiplex on November 21, 2019, and Hero’s editor released the third compiled volume in Japan on April 28.
