Chapter 6 summary
It’s Valentine’s Day, Urushi has chocolate for Ayumu only he doesn’t know how to give it to her and every time there is an opportunity he loses it due to an unforeseen event. Her friend Maki gives chocolates galore, while Sakuraku has no problem giving them to her two friends, even though one of them is more than just a friend. At the club, Urushi wants to deliver him, but that didn’t go as expected because of the rigidity Kohai, but the “bad luck” drops it and the box is visible, giving it to him and making him happy. On White Day he would do the same. Exams are approaching and they have to study, Urushi is incredibly carefree and a restless Tanaka finally got help from him senpaiwhich is wasted in the end because he still has to go to the remedial class.
Chapter Opinion
Valentine’s Day, inevitable this type of celebration among school children. Urushi’s behavior seemed very normal to me, yes she is the kind of girl who behaves like that, I think Maki too, but Sakuraku confuses me a bit because of things I will mention later. That opening, as I said before, although it doesn’t seem bad to me, it’s not that I love it, I accept it, but every time I see it I feel like the director has been asked: “How many Would you like pictures?” and he answered “yes”. I feel like Maki can give for more and be used for more, while I feel like she would be more of a Nagatoro’s friend, she doesn’t clash with the environment, although I see her more in the company of the above.
I want to see the girl who appears in the openingthat from kendo, who appears to be Urushi’s love rival. He’ll only seem like his rival, because from afar it’s clear that Ayumu is in love with his senpaiAlthough there is a confrontation, I don’t think the tension feels real other than that Tanaka feels something for her. I can’t wait to see how this develops.

valentines day
Valentine’s Day is a semi-climax in romantic anime, it’s almost always in the middle and the situations are usually similar, trying to give the chocolate without being ashamed or feeling it, but succeeding. As for Urushi and Tanaka, I can’t really say anything as it seems like the normal development of both. The one who scares me a lot is Sakuraku. Her first appearance shows her as someone who’s really shy, even with Takeru and I don’t doubt people change, but she’s loosened up from chapter to chapter. It is obvious that Takeru, Sakuraku and Urushi have known each other for a long time, the latter also says something like (when he gets the chocolate from her) “Thank you like every year”. That’s why I say that the first impression I got of her is different from what we see now and now I see her as a shy manipulator.
Something similar happens to me with Takeru and Urushi, who introduced us to us as rivals and now I see them as friends. Both left kendo and after that they were able to get closer, it seems doable to me, only I would have liked to see this “friendship” grow (I put it in quotes because I don’t know what to call it concretely).
To study!
I never thought Braids-chan would be stupid, but I thought that she wasn’t good at studying because of her clumsy nature. But yes, in this case being a good chess player Shogi, you must have a mental aptitude for which quick thinking is more than an option. On this side, yes I believe it. In Ayumu’s case, he seemed to be the smart one, but it turned out he had trouble learning, which is normal. In the end he got help from his senpai and I’m sure that even though he liked it, he didn’t expect to win the jackpot anyway, only that it was his own downfall. It was kind of like when the exam has two pages, but you don’t realize it and you turn in one page and in the end you find out there were two. It killed me laughing.
I will continue to wait for the rival and hope that they will show me in its glory.
