Eiichiro Oda, the father of ONE PIECE, got us used to a complex plot, full of mysteries and where revelations often lead to other questions. However, among the work's most enigmatic characters, one of the 4 Emperors certainly stands out, as does the man who partly inspired our protagonist, Shanks the Red.

Sensei himself has a high regard for Shanks, so one can reasonably expect big developments for the captain of the Pirates of the Red in the new storyline. Despite his opinion, the Emperor only has a handful of appearances in the manga, totaling only 20 in over 1000 published chapters Weekly Shonen Leap.

This is a pretty small number when we consider the character's importance within the main storyline. However, the chapters in which Shanks appears here follow: 1, 19, 96, 234, 434, 506, 552, 579, 580, 590, 903, 907, 958, 964, 965, 966, 967, 968, 1054, 1055;

However, based on Shanks' statement in the final chapters, it's likely that his involvement will give more room for the entire manga in the near future. We just have to wait for the arrival of the new saga to find out what the author plans to do with the pirate. And you, on the other hand, what do you think of the Emperor, would you like to see him more often? Let us know with a comment below.
