Princess Connect! Re:Dive 2 – Chapter 8: Menu 8 – A Lucky Attracting Card ~Arancini on the Green Hill~
The members of the ‘Gourmet Guild‘ are separated, Karyl is at the castle, Pecorine is harvesting rice, Yuuki is thinking about her old companions and talking to Labyrista about them, and Kokkoro has left to deliver a large number of letters. However, the mail is stolen by thieves who, in addition to stealing the gold from the village, also steal the letters. So Kokkoro joins Suzuna and Misaki, who also want their cards back.
Thanks to the fairies of Kokkoro, who hid in the commotion between the thieves’ bags, the three girls manage to find the thieves’ hiding place. So, young Misaki decides to use her feminine charms to get his attention, but ends up getting captured. Faced with this, Kokkoro has her distracted by smoke, saves Misaki and retrieves her cards, and then flees the place. But they are discovered and pursued. Although Suzuna confronts them with her bow, they are saved in the end by Tomo and some knights who were accompanying Io, Suzuna’s and Miski’s teachers.
The letters that Suzuna and Misaki wanted to pick up were letters of recommendation to change schools as both have very bad grades and only Io put them in the ‘lucent academy‘. However, they decide to tear up their letters and continue to strive alongside their teacher.
While Pecorine continued harvesting rice, he was joined by Yuuki and later Karyl, and then Kokkoro appeared with all the friends they had made as ‘Gourmet Guild‘, who helps them to harvest the large amount of rice.

The ‘Lucent Academy’
At Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 8 introduced the two students of the ‘lucent academy“, Suzuna and Misaki. In addition to the appearance of the teacher Io. However, he remained as a supporting character without as much prominence as the others. All three are members of a school that could potentially be shut down due to an incredibly low grade point average.
Misaki, a young woman with an obvious age complex. These types of characters have always “annoyed” me a little. Not to the point where I hate them completely though. Finally, I can’t deny that they add a certain grace to the anime. Of course, in the specific case of Misaki, I was quite confused, especially because of her dancing to lure thieves. How did you know you had to do it?
Misaki’s character has something similar seiyu to misaki kunowho also gave voice to characters like: Shio Kube (“Happy Sugar Life“), Nagato (“Azure Lane“), Momo Kawmoto (“3-gatsu no lion“), Kurumi Kumamakura (“Musaigen no phantom world“), Niko Niyama (“Kiznaiver“), among other.

Suzuna has the personality and a bit of the aesthetic gyarueven his way of speaking. Something I’ve always been weak for, so I like the character, but he’s not my favorite in the anime. Also, I feel like his character is very stereotypical, including his 7-series issues.
the seiyu Suzuna’s Sumire Uesaka, seiyu who also worked on the characters: Hayase Nagatoro (“Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san“), Shalltear Bloodfallen (“overlord“), Kouhai-chan (“Ganbare Douki-chan“), Kana Kojima (“Nande Koko ni sensei ga?!“), Sanae Dekomori (“Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!“), Etc.

Finally Io, the teacher of the two. While she didn’t get as much screen time as either of them, I think she deserves her credit for having a visually pleasing appearance with a succubus-like kin, her friendly personality gives the character a complete spin. However, I can’t say he won’t have a more assertive side as his participations have been limited.
Shizuka Itu is the seiyu by Professor Io. Other papers of seiyu You are: Kyouko Fujibayashi (“Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei“), Akeno Himejima (“High School DxD“), Luviagelita Edelfeit (“Destiny/Kaleid Liner Prism“), Irina Jalavic (“Ansatsu Kyouhisu“), Haruka Morishima (“Amagami SS“), among many others.

Although I the look of ‘lucent academy‘ at Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 8, I would have liked a little more Io involvement to get to know all of its members better. Of course, for the same story, it would have been weird to give it more involvement. I hope to see the three girls again in the future, but I have a feeling they won’t play the same role.
tears
Something that definitely shocked me and left me with mixed feelings Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 8 saw Pecorine cry. That’s because I felt her tears didn’t correspond to sadness as such, but to relief and happiness. Knowing that if she tells them her true identity, her greatest fear will be rejected by Yuuki and Karyl is something she already suspected, and even Pecorine herself had hinted at before. But I liked being able to back it up with Princess Eustiana’s “appearance”.
Seeing more expressions about Pecorine is a detail that has always fascinated me in anime and I enjoyed seeing it in anime previous chapters for the ‘depth’ they can bring to character. Finally, this aspect along with Yuuki’s past are the two most important things I would like to see Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2. In addition, of course, there is the presentation of the large number of female characters with waifu potential.

Of course, immersing yourself in the characters of Pecorine and Yuuki is the same as pushing the plot development forward. Although I believe that the story of “Princess Connect! Re: Diving‘ has its thrilling and surprising moments, I don’t want the anime to aim for rapid development in it. Of course, I also can’t deny that I’m a bit dissatisfied with the pace at which the plot is shown. Personally, I would like it to develop a little faster. I feel like there’s too much space between important plot moments.
Fan Service on Princess Connect! Subject: Dive 2 – Chapter 8
For me it was two moments of fan service at Princess Connect! Re: Dive 2 – Chapter 8, the first was bathing with His Majesty. While he only shows more skin in one scene, I’m sure it was enough to wow more than one. Though for me personally it would all have gone downhill after seeing how disturbing it was to have another “Her Majesty” behind Karyl watching over her.
This scene got me in doubt, first because of the mention of Metamorregnant and then because of the hypothetical existence of more than one “Your Majesty”. My brain put both cases together, but without much knowledge of Metamorregnant, they’re nothing more than baseless theories. Both cases may have nothing connecting them.
Back to the topic fan service, the second scene I think he had it in was the arrival of Io with the knights to save Misaki, Suzuna and Kokkoro. When I saw the scene, the first thing that came to mind was: “boing boing“. I remember seeing other characters with the same “plot” perform similar actions, but Io’s influence was unique to them.

Outside of fanservice, I can’t wait to see the next chapter. Not just because he’s got the Labyrista appearance back (the only one I like more than Karyl so far) and his guild, but because from the trailer it looks like Pecorine is at least telling the truth to Karyl. Although she already knows.
By the way, I was surprised to see that Kokkoro’s large number of letters were used to call his friends. But what the chapter leaves me the most is knowing why the thieves stole the letters? If they had money? I mean they didn’t seem really smart enough to plan a major hit with the information in the letters.
