This review about Karakai jouzu no Takagi-san 3 contains spoilers. If you haven’t seen the chapter yet, we encourage you to do so and then come back to read the review.

chapter summary
It’s another environmental season, so there has to be one Change of uniform, which is used for a new confrontation by Nishikata. The season is winter so you should take advantage of it winter uniform, but some friends agree to go with the previous uniforms unless an unsuspecting one fails to report in time. the Having lunch it can get very lonely when there’s no one to share with, Nishikata alone receives the (un)comfortable company of Takagi with a challenge in between. There are always new messages from classmates, some very unusual such as UFOthat can only be seen by pure people. in the night A cleansing of the body is always good, as the public baths are the meeting place between the children, culminating in victory ignored by Nishikata.
Chapter Opinion
Takagi returned after a week with another quiet chapter, but just as purifying. The situation is still moving very slowly, only now we have five sub-chapters instead of the previous four, with the Mina, Yukari and Sanae part being the shortest. They don’t have much part, which is understandable, everything is on the screen of the protagonists for more time. On the other hand, the end has changed, they say Himawari no Yakusokuwhich seems to come from the singer Hata Motohiroand this song is also part of the soundtrack of a movie Doraemon. Nice song.
At the end of this part I can only say: Confirmed Aliens in the Frontverse!!!

Change of uniform
Simple premise, Takagi arrives in summer uniform, Nishikata in winter uniform, he will take the opportunity to challenge her and make her admit that she is cold. Result: Don’t use your enemies’ tricks against them, they already know what’s coming. Takagi knows how to use Nishikata’s embarrassment against him, because to save himself from his defeat, he tells him if he will keep her warm, if she admits she’s cold, it’s a checkmate actually. The boy has been cornered, if he says yes he risks being seen “warming up” the little forehead, if he says no then Takagi will continue to deny the cold and Nishikata will lose. Wonderful game.
winter uniform
This is the friends part. Great summary, Mina forgot to tell Sanae to bring her winter uniform and that’s why she got “mad” at the unsuspecting girl because it was really cold. Despite the slip, it’s interesting to see Mina trying to make up for her mistake through empathy, which doesn’t eliminate the anger but is easier to excuse. She rolls up her sleeves and says it’s sunny so it would be better if she didn’t show up in her new uniform, except the cold won out in the end.

Having lunch
Nishikata’s friends didn’t go to class for various reasons. He, just sad and abandoned, decides to eat alone, thinking that there really is something sad about being like this. Someone who is not used to being alone can feel really bad at such moments, especially if you are in a phase where you are strengthening social connections and not feeling left out. Takagi sees him leaving and decides to take him to dinner because he likes him and doesn’t want him to feel bad about being alone. However, they cannot escape the routine of challenges that binds them in a way, and of course the big forehead will take advantage of that to embarrass them. Nishikata realized that he would love to have lunch with her at school again.
UFO
Takao comes to school with a photo of what he thinks is a UFO, although Sanae denies it and tells him she doesn’t like him (exact moment). Nishikata wants to imitate his friend, so Takagi helps him by throwing rocks so he can catch him. Those first world things, in Latin America, are rock-throwing kids, potential criminals (another equis). In the end, the photo that Nishikata thought was the best turned out to be a UFO, which only Takagi saw, surprised, indirectly commenting to her loved one. That struck me as odd but interesting.

night
The night can be so romantic when spent with the right person. Nishikata already realized that Takagi goes everywhere he mentions, so he expected to be at the public baths by 7:00 p.m. But he wasn’t there and he thought about it the whole bathroom. He went out to buy something and there she was, coming early because it would take longer (Takagi’s parents are apparently very revealing). They walk part of the way together and Nishikata’s inner chauvinist comes out and tells her that he will come with her because it’s late. Takagi is surprised, shocked, amazed, but she denies it, mostly because she didn’t want him to see her so happy and blushing, running home gleefully. Very strange that Nishikata didn’t say anything to him other than normal, custom or sentiment?
The macho thing was a joke, just in case. Good chapter but mainly for the end. In those last two chapters, the ending leaves me screaming and expectant. Now we’re just waiting for the Green Goblin for more character development.
