Gotoubun no Hanayome 2 - Chapter 10: The five cranes return the favor

Losing first place in the exams threatens Futaro with the possibility that the quintuplets' father will be looking for another tutor for them. Yusuke Takeda is his classmate and, due to his connection to the father of the Nakano, the best possible provider to support him in his work. However, Futaro shows that he can continue to teach them and get very good personal results by finishing third in mock exams nationwide.

For some time now, Futaro has been trying to give Yotsuba a gift for her help. With a budget of only 1500 yen, Futaro asks Yotsuba directly what he would like as a gift. But without a specific idea, they walk around town and visit different places related to their sisters. Until she ends up in a park that Yotsuba usually goes to when she's not feeling optimistic. In the end, Futaro gives him a little learning aid, even though it was initially designed for Raiha's academic level. Yotsuba didn't care because Futaro had already accidentally given her what she wanted.

After completing the exams, you can now focus on the excursion that all juniors will take. Ichika, Nino, and Miku split up into groups of five and try to be in the same group as Futaro to hang out with. Yotsuba is caught up in the business and decides to stay out of the group so that her four sisters can be with Futaro. But his sacrifice is zero as Futaro is already in a group with other boys. This is how the quintuplets end together.

Be wild and devastating like fire

in the Gotoubun no Hanayome 2 - Chapter 10 has already made the declaration of war between three of the quintuplets clearer: Ichika, Nino and Miku. Of course, since Miku is my favorite, she is the one I support the most to achieve her goal. I won't deny, however, that Nino's efforts could give him a better chance at Futaro. After all, she is much more direct than Miku. While Ichika does it in his own way. Instead of trying to attract him on his own, he tries to keep him away from the other opponents.

The sentence is well known 'Everything works in war and in loveHowever, I do not share the meaning that most people would give. Personally, I only see this phrase as an excuse for the method used (or to be used) in both aspects, all for a "selfish obsession".

'Desperate times call for desperate measuresWith this saying I can understand a little how Ichika used to restore the difference between her and Miku and Nino. Nino himself, however, was way behind when compared to Miku himself, but narrowed down almost all of the difference with the confession of the derailed train of love. Something Ichika could have done like herself and not disguised as Miku. So I think the character could have developed differently. Of course that's my personal taste and I don't see any need for a character change to "improve" the show. Therefore, I am grateful for the adaptation that they have maintained this development in Ichika without exaggerating or diminishing it.

In general, what I hate most about Ichika is that he decided to continue this desperate and somewhat cruel method. Because she had shown a warm relationship with Futaro in the first season, with a very good chemistry between them. Although it was always more friendship than romance. Which led to this situation.

On the other hand, Yotsuba is again leading the way and having her first date with Futaro. I really think that Yotsuba is a very good "liar". Her "cluelessness" looks so natural that she doesn't seem to have thought about the situation at all, but I think she's a lot more calculating than it appears. Not enough to say that she is the "strategist" of the quintuplets. Although I also think that she herself didn't notice that she had this talent. Possibly because she feels more pressured to be the one dragging the others with some inferiority complex. Something that, as I mentioned earlier, he is hiding with his negligence, joy and the energetic personality that he shows to everyone.

You are not a resistance

Although it first appeared in the previous episode, in the Gotoubun no Hanayome 2 - Chapter 10 was officially introduced to Yusuke Takeda. A classmate from Futaro and the Quintuplets. Who believed they had a recognized rivalry with Futaro even for first place in the results. Which the same Futaro did not think, since he did not pay attention to the outcome of the others. Until the arrival of the quintuplets and their work as tutors. Something that even he accepted helped him get no worse than mediocre. Moment that, by the way, reminded me a little of the discussion in Naruto Come in Kakashi Y. Obito in the ninja war on those who are considered garbage and on those who are worse than garbage.

I'm bothered by the personality that Yusuke has shown in Gotoubun no Hanayome 2 - Chapter 10: I think he knows what's best for a person he's never talked to. Without considering the other person's feelings. In general, these types of personalities are the ones I wear the least in the characters. So I didn't like the first impression Yusuke made. However, it's just the portrayal of character, it's too early to say that he will retain that personality or that it is his only noteworthy aspect in it. Well, there are also some details that could show friendship and / or camaraderie on your part towards Futaro.

Of course, it all depends on how you handle it in adapting the two remaining episodes of Gotoubun no Hanayome 2. I don't expect him to have extensive development in these episodes, but I also don't expect them to give him too little time to better incorporate the character into the plot.

An interesting moment in the plot of Gotoubun no Hanayome 2 - Chapter 10 says that Futaro received the five wishes he asked for. Ichika with a gift card to compare what she wants (money), Miku tickets for the gym (exercise), Nino scented candles with relaxing effects (sleep disorders), Yotsuba with paper cranes (happiness) and Itsuki with an energy drink (more energy ). Personally, I think Yotsuba was my favorite while Itsuki was the "worst". Of course, Itsuki was more polished on my part, as he could have given him something different than they gave him his presents after exams.

Incidentally, at the moment of its presentation, I felt in Gotoubun no Hanayome 2 - Chapter 10. That through a screen ... I can't imagine how uncomfortable I would feel if I was in Futaro's shoes. More than anything because of the situation he was in at the time.
