On April 1, 2020, a little over a year ago, the author Yuuki Kikuchi announced the publication of the hundredth and final chapter of his manga on Twitter Wani dies in 100 days, also known in the West as The crocodile that dies in 100 days. After one hour, The author’s post became the ninth most popular tweet in historyand the work ended for hours on twitter trends.
On the occasion of this historical milestone, which a Japanese author has never reached, we explained in detail the reasons for the success of the last chapter and also foresaw that the manga would be made into a film. Today, The movie’s first trailer was finally shared, due in Japan on May 28, 2021.
Shinichiro Ueda (Digimon Adventure: Final Evolution Kizuna) e Miyuki Fukuda (Complex x Complex) wrote and directed the film while Tomonori Kogawa (Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection) supervised the animations. Among other, Seiji Kameda he composed the music while TIA is TOHO You are each responsible for covering the production and distribution costs of the film. The trailer also reveals the OST “Tsuzuku”, the main song of the film composed by the band Ikimono-Gakari.
The film tells the adventures of the crocodile from the hundredth chapter with the anthropomorphic animal who goes to the group of friends and in the meantime thinks about the events of the last ninety-nine days.
