The online shop for manga and light novels BookWalker released the list of its best-selling series in 2020. While much of the top 10 is filled with popular light novels with anime adaptations, first place went to the Yaoi manga, which was written and illustrated by Hiroto Kujirada, Kimi wa Boku no Ohimesama ((You are my princess).
Second is the series of easy novels by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by You Shiina, Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Zahm ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen ((Rise of a bookworm), which already inspired the third season of his anime adaptation. Of course, much of the list is dominated by works from the Isekai subgenre, romantic comedies, and the occasional spicy title.
