Summary of Dungeon Meshi
After the Golden Kingdom is sunk into the earth by a mad wizard, its king appears and promises all of his treasure to whoever defeats the wizard before he falls apart. The guilds are encouraged by this promise and traverse the labyrinthine dungeon in search of the wizard. Laios, the leader of one of these guilds, encounters a dragon who destroys his group and devours his sister Falin. Despite losing all of his supplies and belongings, Laios immediately enters the dungeon with Marcille, an elven healer, and Chilchuck, a halfling thief, to save Falin.
With time running out, Laios suggests the taboo of eating monsters in the dungeon to collect supplies. When they are preparing their first meal in the dungeon, a dwarf named Senshi stops them. As an avid monster chef, he helps them prepare their monster ingredients for safe consumption. Upon learning of Laios’ circumstances, Senshi expresses her desire to cook a dragon and joins his guild, starting their foray through the food-filled dungeon together.
