It was announced that the series of light novels written by Asato Asato and illustrated by Shirabi, 86-Eighty Six will have a new spin-off manga titled 86-Eighty Six Gakuen-hen.

The manga will be drawn by Suzume Somemiya, who will begin serialization in this year's issue # 8 of the magazine Monthly Comic Alive from the publisher Kadokawa, scheduled for June 27.

For his part, Asato Asato began publishing the light novels in April 2017 through the editorial stamp Dengeki Bunko of Kadokawa. Shirabi (Musaigen no Phantom World) and the artist I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero, Re: Creators) were in charge of the illustrations. The eighth volume was published on May 9.

The play has a confirmed anime adaptation set to premiere this year and is being produced by studios. A-1 Pictures, under the direction of Toshimasa Ishii, scripts written by Toshiya Ono and character designs made by Tetsuya Kawakami.

Synopsis of 86-Eighty Six

The story takes place in a warlike environment which is carried out by a fierce battle between two sides, the empire and the republic. Both sides have highly trained leaders who will have to devise the best of plans to defeat their enemy.
