The service Manga one from the publisher Shogakukan announced that the writer Fumiaki Maruto ((Saekano) and the artist Sabu Musha have started releasing a new manga called Mixed media maiden. This new work focuses on an unfortunate man who receives “divine intervention” from the “goddess of entertainment”.
Fumiaki Maruto is the author of the easy novel series Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ((Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend), which he published through the publisher’s label Fujimi Fantasia Bunko from the publisher Fujimi Shobo with pictures of Kurehito Misaki between July 2012 and October 2017 with a total of thirteen volumes.
The piece inspired a twelve-episode animated adaptation produced by the studios. A-1 pictures and released in January 2015, followed by a second season of eleven episodes in April 2017. The animated adaptation ended with the film Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata Fine, published October 2019.
Synopsis of Saekano
Tomoya Aki meets a beautiful girl one day during the spring break. A month later, he discovers that the girl is his classmate Megumi, who is barely sensitive to her classmates. Hoping to create a new image, he turns to school beauties like Eriri Spencer Sawamura to design the art and Utaha Kasumigaoka to write the game’s setting. Tomoya then recruits Megumi, the star, as the “hero” of her game, forming the development team for “Blessing Software”. The series follows his adventures in game development and plans to sell out at the Comiket Convention, as well as the emotional entanglements between the teams.
