In its final chapter it was revealed that the manga was written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Kohas exceeded 400,000 accumulated circulating copies with only two volumes compiled.
Akasaka and Yokoyari began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly young jump from the publisher Shueisha on April 23. The publisher released the first compiled volume on July 17 and the second on October 16 in Japan. Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: love is war) writes it while Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no honkai) illustrates it.
The headline of the second compiled volume had already shown at the end of September that the manga had more than 300,000 copies in circulation. A promotional video was released for the release of the second compiled volume.
