On the official website of the magazine's editorial team Weekly young magazine from the publisher KodanshaIt has been announced that the manga will be written and illustrated by Soborou, Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?, will not appear in this year's 39th issue of the magazine due to the author's sudden illness.
Soborou stated on his Twitter account that he has had health problems such as hearing loss and worsening tendinitis since the manga was serialized. As medical problems worsened, Soborou had to rest while serialization continued. However, earlier this year the problems for the writer and his work became increasingly difficult, and the days when he could not continue working also increased. After consulting the editors, the decision was made to stop the work on the Manga indefinitely.
Soborou began publishing the manga in Kodansha Publishing's Weekly Young Magazine in April 2017. The publisher published the 10th compiled volume on May 7th.
The piece inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Tear Studio, Headed by Toshikatsu Tokoro and scripts written by Yuuki Takabayashi, published in April 2019.
