VIZ Media recently announced i. released My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer sales: Kimetsu no Yaiba in the Anglosphere, that is, in the larger nations where the English language is spoken. The numbers once again underline the success of Gotouge's work, albeit apparently the series in demand is still that of Kohei Horikoshi.

As reported by VIZ Media, My Hero Academia has 9 million copies in circulation between the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand, out of a total of 50 million copies printed worldwide. Demon Slayer, on the other hand, will be stopped at 4 million copies, a number that should continue to grow over the course of 2021. It is also worth remembering that My Hero Academia started its release between 2015 and 2016 while Demon Slayer didn't come until 2018.

In all cases, VIZ Media stated that the Horikoshi range remains the best in terms of reader demand, although both are considered best-sellers. Unfortunately, at the moment the data on the sales of jujutsu kaisen, which is growing rapidly in Japan and the rest of the world, are not known, but it has been confirmed that Chainsaw Man got off to a much higher start than expected.

My Hero Academia is one of the most popular Japanese series in the world, thanks in part to the extraordinary anime by Studio BONES. The work is about to get its third animated feature film, My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission, and it will be interesting to see if this one too can replicate the recent success of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
