Since the first episodes of My dressing favorite there was the aura of success for Shin’ichi Fukuda’s gem. Who knows if even the author of the manga would have expected such a dramatic surge in popularity of the work after just one season of television.
Just a few weeks ago there was a first report on My Dress-Up Darling sales, which continue to rise day by day. Although season 2 of the anime is not official yet, the terms for a sequel are all there and probably studio CloverWorks will try to continue the TV adaptation of Fukuda Sensei’s manga.
However, it has been officially confirmed that the comic of the same name has surpassed 6.5 million copies distributed. So on balance it is a almost 100% increase compared to before the anime started when the volumes in circulation were only 3.5 million. Furthermore, the growth doesn’t seem to be slowing down and we could see another leap in quality in terms of sales in the coming weeks.
And you on the other hand, what do you think about the success of My Dress-Up Darling, are you looking forward to season 2? As always, please let us know with a comment below.
