Written and illustrated by the manga on the official Twitter account for Kore Yamazaki, Mahoutsukai no Yome ((The bride of the old magus) it was announced that the work will not have a new chapter in this year's third issue of the magazine Monthly cartoon garden from the publisher Likes gardenwhich will be released on February 5th. This is then the second consecutive month that the manga has taken a break.

The statement assured readers that Yamazaki is not sick, but she and her editor are planning new logistics for the manga in view of the new state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.. The draft of Chapter 75 (the next one will be published) is already ready and work will resume in March.

Yamazaki began publishing the manga in the magazine Monthly comic blade from the publisher Likes garden in November 2013 and made it into the magazine Monthly cartoon garden in September 2014 where it is still being released. The publisher released the fourteenth compiled volume on September 10 in Japan.

The piece inspired a 24-part anime adaptation of Wit studio, Headed by Norihiro Naganuma and scripts from Aya Takaha, published October 2017.

Synopsis of Mahoutsukai no Yome
