In the past few hours, a statement from the author has gone viral Gege Akutami during the variety show Mandou Kobayashiwhere he assured the manga Jujutsu Kaisen it will end in less than two years. The author also assured that he had already decided what the end of the work would be, although obviously he had not disclosed it.
This interview was held to commemorate the manga’s victory in this year’s “Manga Kobayashi – Manga Award” competition. It was also the first time Gege Akutami appeared in person on television, even though he was hiding his identity behind a disguise. The show aired in two parts and aired in Japan on January 30th and February 27th on Fuji TV and Fuji TV ONEsmart.
Akutami started publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly shonen jump from the publisher Shueisha in March 2018. The publisher released the thirteenth compiled volume on October 13, followed by the fourteenth on January 4 in Japan. The work recently reached 30 million copies in circulation.
