On the official page for the manga written and illustrated by Meguru Ueno, Hajimete no Gal ((My first friend is a gal) unveiled the cover of the twelfth compilation volume, which will be released in Japan on January 26th. The tape description did not contain any announcements about serialization (e.g. when it was on its final stretch).

Ueno started publishing the manga through the magazine Monthly Shonen Ace from the publisher Kadokawa in November 2015. The publisher released the eleventh compiled volume on July 21 in Japan. The plant recently passed a million copies in circulation.

The piece inspired a ten-episode animated adaptation produced by the studios. NAZ, Headed by Hiroyuki Furukawa and scripts from Yuuichirou Momose, published July 2017. An OVA was published in December of the same year. The series was criticized by fans and received only 6.33 out of 10.0 points out of more than 166,000 ratings MyAnimeList.

Synopsis of Hajimete no Gal

Following a joke from his evil friends, Junichi Hashiba asks a girl in a desperate attempt to change the fact that he is a hopeless virgin. Yukana Yame, the girl in question, is disgusted with Junichi's humiliation. However, through a series of derisive comments, he quickly realizes that he liked him and, to Junichi's surprise, accepts his confession.

So follows Hajimete no Gal Junichi as he overcomes his lack of self-confidence and suppresses his sexual urges as he immerses himself in a whole new school life of beautiful girls and unpredictable chaos.
