In issue no. 42 for the magazine Weekly young jumpIt turned out that the manga series was written and illustrated by Satoru Noda, Golden Kamuy, reached 14 million cumulative copies in circulation among its 22 volumes published so far.

The 23rd volume of the manga will go on sale on September 18th from Shueisha-Verlag.

Golden Kamuy

Noda publishes the manga in the magazine Weekly young jump from the publisher Shueisha since August 2014. The publisher published the twenty-second compilation volume on June 19th and will publish the twenty-third on September 18th. The manga won the ninth Taisho Award.

The piece inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Geno Studio Headed by Hitoshi nanba and scripts written by Noboru Takagi, released April 2018. A second season of twelve episodes premiered in October 2018, and production of a third season is confirmed to premiere this October.

Synopsis of Golden Kamuy

At the beginning of the 20th century, the veteran of the Russo-Japanese war, Saichi Sugimoto, nicknamed “The Immortal”, took part in the “gold rush” of the post-war period. It turns out that he finds part of a map that could lead him to the mythical gold fortune of the Ainu tribe, long hidden, and begins his search.

But of course Sugimoto is not the only one looking for this treasure! And everyone would kill for every clue that leads to it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the harsh cold weather, ruthless criminals and corrupt Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto must use all his skill and luck to survive with the help of a girl from the Ainu tribe named Asirpa.
